Baljeet Singh appointed Global Project Director of Titanic II

Blue Star Line Chairman Clive Palmer has announced the appointment of legal and business executive Baljeet Singh as Global Project Director of Titanic II.

A qualified lawyer, Ms Singh already has extensive experience with Titanic II, serving as the project’s director with Blue Star Line from 2012 to 2015.

Her past work on the project has included finalising the design to recreate the opulence and splendour of the original ship, organising and attending planning and development meetings around the world, liaising with US Coast Guard and government agencies and attending the successful Titanic II Model Test at HSVA in Hamburg Germany in 2013.

A legal and business consultant to various public and private organisations in the agriculture, mining, travel, retail, legal and charitable services sectors, Ms Singh has also worked with Mr Palmer as Legal Director of Mineralogy Pty Ltd, Legal Director of Waratah Coal and in-house counsel for the China First coal mining project.

Mr Palmer said Ms Singh brought extensive global experience and a strong track record of success with Titanic II including an excellent working relationship with Finnish-based ship design company, Deltamarin.

“Baljeet brings sound judgment and leadership to the already experienced executive team that will be reporting to her,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“She will oversee Blue Star Line’s European Director who will be establishing an office in Europe to coordinate the European operations as well as our Asian Director.

“We are delighted to have her on board for this exciting project destined to generate unprecedented international exposure and public interest,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“Baljeet shares Blue Star Line’s passion for recreating the ship of dreams as a symbol of love and peace in the world,’’ Mr Palmer said.

Ms Singh said she was excited to be advancing the project as Global Project Director where she will be responsible for all facets of Titanic II to be put into service on the London – New York route across the Atlantic.

“I am delighted to be working with such a talented international team in delivering this unique project to the world.

“Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, providing passengers with a ship that has the same interiors and cabin layout as the original vessel, while integrating modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st century technology to produce the highest level of luxurious comfort,’’ she said.
