Blue Star Line chairman Clive Palmer announced today the appointment of V.Ships Leisure as the official ship management services partner for Titanic II.

“We are very pleased to announce that V.Ships Leisure Mr Palmer said.

“As one of the world’s largest suppliers of management and outsourcing services to the maritime leisure industry, it is a delight to have them on board for this historic project.”

V.Ships Leisure Director Per Bjornsen said the company was looking forward to working on Titanic II. Along with the project’s other partners including Deltamarin and Tillberg design, V.Ships Leisure will provide technical and hotel cruise operation insight and support during the project development, tender process, newbuilding supervision and entry into service.

“We are very pleased to be one of the companies involved in recreating this iconic ship,’’ Mr Bjornsen said.

“We are looking forward to assisting Blue Star Line with our expertise in project support, new build supervision and ship management,’’ he said. “This process showcases the full spectrum of ways in which ship management can add value from the very beginning in the management of a cruise vessel, long before the first steel is even cut.”

Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, providing passengers with a ship that has the same interiors and cabin layout as the original vessel, while integrating modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st century technology to produce the highest level of luxurious comfort.

The ship will follow the original journey, carrying passengers from Southampton to New York, but she will also circumnavigate the globe, inspiring and enchanting people while attracting unrivalled attention, intrigue and mystery in every port she visits.

“Millions have dreamt of sailing on her, seeing her in port and experiencing her unique majesty. Titanic ll will be the ship where those dreams come true,’’ Mr Palmer said.
